We're on a mission to open 100 million brokerage accounts within the next ten years. Building the infrastructure for FinTech companies to launch an investing feature or product in Europe. Delivering the full value chain of brokerage through one API.

Over the last quarters, we focused on bringing the first version of the API to the market. Thousands of developers signed up and hundreds started to build their individual use cases with us. This resulted in 80+ inquiries from companies to launch their own stock trading UI with With 15 million of fresh funding, we are now taking the next steps towards our mission: Building out our capabilities to allow (Fin)Tech companies to offer investment opportunities to their customers.

Your Mission:

As Head of Outsourcing you will be the first in your role, tasked with building the foundations of the outsourcing management & controlling department within You will set up all process frameworks around outsourcing for both entities and ensure third parties comply with our standards, based on the relevant regulatory compliance.

Reporting to our managing director back-office, and working with a team of experienced tech, legal and regulatory professionals alongside you, this is your opportunity to set up the right control frameworks from the ground up and grow a team of passionate professionals around it. Leverage your previous experiences and helping us to build the investment infrastructure for the next 100 million retail investors in Europe.

  • Establish, implement and continuously improve an appropriate outsourcing management & controlling including corresponding identification, control and monitoring processes and make sure business continuity and all other regulatory necessities are met.
  • Draft and maintain outsourcing policies and procedures and ensure all regulatory requirements for outsourcing contracts and their fulfillment are met.
  • Continuously monitor outsourcing providers and sub-contractors, as well as conduct audits of material outsourcing service providers.
  • Create and maintain an outsourcing register.
  • Support and guide strategic decisions on outsourcing services.
  • Build a diverse and high performing team that ensures outsourcing management for the ecosystem follows best compliance practices.
  • Work closely with all departments and report directly to the managing director back-office.
  • Act as a key stakeholder between a regulated financial institutes and as a major service provider, ensuring an alignment of expectations within the common team at all times.

Job requirements

You will be successful in this role if:

  • You have extensive professional experience in the banking or financial services industry — ideally several years of experience in the area of outsourcing and vendor risk management.
  • You have gained a deep understanding of outsourcing regulations and their practical application into internal processes.
  • You are not only an excellent communicator, but you are also well versed in fostering and building lasting relationships with e.g. vendors and third party providers.
  • You have knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements according to KWG, MaRisk, BAIT or EBA and are experienced in co-operating with internal and external auditors and regulators.
  • You have the ability to present your findings on a high-level and report these to stakeholders on a cross-functional level.
  • “This is not my job!” is not part of your vocabulary - you are intrinsically motivated to deliver value for our customers by taking initiative and challenging the status quo.
  • You're able to apply complex regulatory frameworks to real life scenarios in a tech driven environment — this isn't always easy and will require you to think outside the box!

  • You’re able to sift through the noise and assess what's critical for the current priority.
  • You'd be willing to spend significant time onsite (around 50%), especially to ramp up leading to our go-live. While we offer flexibility for remote work, due to the nature of the role and the stage we're currently in, it requires a lot of cross-functional work and in person collaboration.
