Over the last quarters, we focused on bringing the first version of the API to the market. Thousands of developers signed up and hundreds started to build their individual use cases with us. This resulted in 80+ inquiries from companies to launch their own stock trading UI with lemon.markets. With 15 million of fresh funding, we are now taking the next steps toward our mission: Building out our capabilities to allow (Fin)Tech companies to offer investment products to their customers.

Your Mission:

As Asset Servicing Specialist you will join the Asset Servicing Team, managing all tasks & processes related to corporate actions. The Asset Servicing Team is a part of the Brokerage Operations Function within lemon.markets. It owns the end to end responsibility for a successful running business to our partners and customers. This means you will make sure we provide seamless asset servicing to all securities accounts managed through our brokerage API.

Reporting directly to our VP Brokerage, and collaborating strategically with experienced tech, legal and regulatory professionals across the business. Leveraging your previous experiences and helping us to build the investment infrastructure for the next 100 million retail investors in Europe.

You will:

• Be responsible for execution and monitoring of all corporate actions and income events.
• Own reconciliation and exception handling in case of errors and differences.
• Analyse corporate actions and income events with respect to German and foreign withholding taxes.
• Play a key role in defining the processes and building the systems for corporate action handling.
• Work hand in hand with the Market Operations and Clearing and Settlement function to ensure best-in-class Securities Operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Customer Support team to ensure a great customer experience.
• Contribute extensively to our internal knowledge base as a brokerage expert.
• Spend a lot of time collaborating cross functionally. That means you will be required to spend a significant amount of time onsite with us (>50%).

You will be successful in this role if:

• You have gained extensive experience in Securities processing in particular Corporate Actions & Income Events in the German or European financial industry — ideally in a securities firm or bank. And by that you understand German & European financial market regulation very well.
• You have a deep understanding of the full settlement life cycle and extensive industry knowledge.
• You acquired in depth knowledge of tax treatment and regulatory requirements of corporate actions.
• You are confident in providing guidance to the organizations and colleagues by sharing your knowledge and take responsibility for creating handbooks, building processes and defining policies.
• “This is not my job!” is not part of your vocabulary - you are motivated by nature to deliver value for our customers by taking initiative and challenging the status quo, even if this means admitting one's own shortcomings and changing things.
• You can prioritise effectively and are able to sift through the noise and assess what's critical for the current priority.
• You enjoy building mission-critical infrastructure for partners and customers alike abstracting complexity and scaling towards high volumes.
• You understand what working in a startup or a similar lean organization is like. Working in an early-stage startup can be somehow frightened, overwhelming and amazing at the same time.

You'd be willing to spend significant time onsite (around 50%), especially to ramp up leading to our go-live. While we offer flexibility for remote work, due to the nature of the role and the stage we're currently in, it requires a lot of cross-functional work and in person collaboration.
